Energy Conservation Certification

According to the Administration Measure on Energy-Saving Products, appliances which can reach the energy conservation values, can apply for energy conservation certification to China Quality Certification Center (CQC) voluntarily, to demonstrate the products are high efficient. China Energy Conservation Certification is one of the endorsement energy labels, and enterprises can choose to apply for it voluntarily. Household appliance that fall in the scope of China Energy Conservation Certification are: refrigerators; air conditioners; washing machines; microwave ovens; electrical storage water heaters; rice cooker; electric fans; water dispensers; solar water heaters; gas water heaters; gas stoves; range hoods. The mode of energy conservation certification is similar to CCC certification.
Energy Conservation Certification relate to energy-saving product subsidy and government procurement. Currently, household appliances in the list of energy-saving product government procurement include: refrigerators; air conditioners; washing machines; water heaters (electrical, gas, hear pump, solar). High efficient air conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines and water heaters (gas, hear pump, solar) are also in the scope of “the project to promote energy-efficient products for the benefit of the people”, so that these high efficient products can get subsidy from the government.
